Almond Butter

For some bizarre reason, I was never really a fan of peanut butter (except for a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup) growing up - in fact, I don’t think I’ve ever even tasted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Then a few years back, I was introduced to Almond Butter.
Wow - what an amazing difference. It’s just awesome. Sure, it’s more expensive than peanut butter, but it’s worth it. I’m a complete addict now.

Have you tried Nutella? It’s hazelnut butter plus chocolate (I think you can also just get plain hazelnut butter in stores around here, but mmm, chocolate).
Next time you’re in Germany, order Mandeltorte. Or you can make your own — at the bottom of this blog post are recipes for almond butter and a mandeltorte variant (I haven’t tried either one, so caveat emptor);

Nutella? Are you Canadian? It’s good, eh?

Nutella is from Italy. Perhaps you’re confusing it with maple syrup.

We all know where Nutella comes from … but, have you been to Canada lately? I was recently on the streets of Vancouver and ordered a Nutella Crape. The Canadians really love their Nutella. They put it on everything.
