The other day’s post about about ditching Powerpoint made me think a bit more about some of my favorite presentations:
- Steve Jobs Commencement Speech 2005 at Stanford University (or via iTunes)
- Guy Kawasaki’s Art of the Start
- Ben Saunders on 3 Things to Know Before You Ski to the North Pole
- Dick Hardt on Identity 2.0
What’s yours?

I’m an educator (high school HIST, POLS, and ECON). I’m pretty partial to presentations given by Harry Wong. I’m not sure if he uses PowerPoint as much as you might be pointing toward by this post and the other, but nevertheless, his presentations are intense and dynamic. He presents himself as well as his ideas in manner that screams “Pay Attention!” He’s dorky but after 10 seconds you forget all about it. That’s a good speaker.
The best one is: The First Days of School: How To Be An Effective Teacher
