Like everyone else who has a Wii, I’ve been trying to find a Nintendo component video cable and an extra Wii remote and numchuck. After visiting every EB-Games, Gamestop and Target in the area with no luck (it was almost amusing to see how the employees laughed at me when I asked if they had any of these items), I had just given up all hope.

That is, until Randy suggested that I try heading over to the Nintendo customer service counter over in Redmond. After doing a quick search (and coming up with this post on ‘customer service done right‘), I headed on over, walked right in (no employee ‘escort’ required) and had no problem buying the cable and controllers that I had been searching for.

What a great experience.

While initially skeptical, I’ve been very happy with the Psyclone brand component cables I bought at Wal-Mart for only $20. Lacking other options, I bought them out of desperation assuming I’d get the official set when supplies were abundant, but having actually held both in my hand I think the Psyclones are actually of better quality.

    Weird but true.

Dude! Now the secret is out! :O

Kicks ass though, for those of us that live near the HQ…
