[KernelThread via Brian Johnson] This page is a compendium of some programs you might come across while tinkering with Mac OS X. Documentation for most of these tools exists, therefore my aim is not to reproduce documentation, but simply to maintain a cache of relevant information.

One thing that has consistently impressed me with the Mac is the power of the command line and Brian links to a great list of tools/commands for Terminal. Also check out the OmniGroup’s list of "software we like".

    Mac stumbler and iStumbler are some ok wireless ap finders

    also AquaEthereal is a pretty nice WEP decrypter. Its Mac’s own version of the moderately popular Linux Ethereal (also for Windows)
