Now that the book has been out for almost 3 years, it really has been a long time since I’ve done any ego-surfing. Even so, it was kinda cool to stumble across this review up on IBM’s website:

Pocket PC Network Programming contains code listings galore. In this regard, it’s an ideal companion for every serious developer. Even the tiniest of issues aren’t left without working code examples. Another notable feature is the list of frequently asked questions on both covers of the book, which refer the reader to the relevant pages. Don’t be alarmed — you’ll also find an extensive index as well. However, I believe that what most users will be looking for are answers to questions such as, "How do I map a network drive to the Pocket PC?" or, "Is there a way to examine an HTTP header?"

Pocket PC Network Programming covers everything that a Pocket PC developer needs to know. The author’s expertise, the extensive code samples, and the handy 80 or so FAQs make it an ideal companion for every developer of this platform.

Of course, I should mention that a good portion of the book is still applicable with today’s Windows Mobile 2005 devices. In honor of Independence Day, you should do something nice and go out and buy a few copies. :)
