Broken Windows?

[Philip Su] Deep in the bowels of Windows, there remains the whiff of a bygone culture of belittlement and aggression. Windows can be a scary place to tell the truth.
By now you’ve probably read PhiIip’s post on "Broken Windows" - it’s been linked to by Slashdot and virtually every blog that has anything to do with Microsoft.
I’m not sure exactly what to say about the post - some of what Philip describes I can totally relate to, other aspects of it I haven’t seen. Everyone working on Vista has had their share of ups and downs, but everyone I know has one thing on their mind: ship a high quality product.
Perhaps when I have some more time I’ll put up my own personal experiences with working on Windows. It’s certainly been an interesting experience.
Anyways - it’s a good post, check it out if you haven’t already read it.

Don’t do it, man. The thought police would give you major grief. Save the retrospectives for when they’re truly retro.
