I went ahead last Thursday and Friday and took the Vista (and Office 2007) "plunge" and erradicated any traces of XP from my office machines (including my main development box) and installed Beta 2 of both products. Besides an inital hiccup of having a bad install DVD, things have suprisingly been smoother than I had expected, so here we are Monday morning and I’m still running them :).

Right now, the only really annoying/blocking issues that I seem to keep running into deal with application compatibility. For example, my favorite Visual Studio plugin Visual Assist, refuses to run unless Visual Studio is run as administrator. Or even with the latest update to Quicktime, I can’t seem to play MP4’s for the life of me. Ah, the joys of beta.
