Kinda annoyed at both Apple and Adobe tonight. I have the latest OS updates installed (10.4.6), and went to install Photoshop CS2 for Mac tonight.

When I picked it up, I was well aware that it’s a PowerPC application and has to be run under Rosetta, but what I didn’t know was that installing it is currently a complete mess. When I go to install, the installer causes a hard lockup on the Mac after a few seconds.

A quick search on both the Apple and Adobe discussion boards relevals that I need to basically wipe my hard drive and install CS2 before I apply any OS update.

Um, NO. Unacceptable. I’m not going to pave the machine just to install an application. And of course, Adobe blames Apple. Apple blames Adobe.

Sometimes I just hate computers.
