American Idol Vote

Every Tuesday and Wednesday night after Tyler goes to sleep, Liz watches (well, fast forwards with TiVo) American Idol while I catch up on email, read the news, code, etc., on the laptop. Anyways, after tonights finale she asked me if I had to vote, who would I vote for.
My response: My vote is to take this show off the air. It’s annoying.

I love both of them, plus I was a big fan of Chris’. I think it will be close they are both awesome. Katharine McPhee has one of the best voices ever on American Idol and Taylor Hicks is one of the best performers ever.

I love Taylor Hicks. I’m one of the judges of the Philippines “Search for a Star” and I say Taylor wins hands down! Go Taylor!

I agree - the whole show annoys the hell out of me. My girlfriend, of course, is a big fan
My opinion (given with the fact that I don’t watch religiously, but just catch clips on Tivo as well):
Taylor is just absolutely awful. His CD is going to be absolutely awful. I think Simon summed it up well with the “drunk dad at a wedding” comment
And I really don’t think Katharine is all that great either. I though from the start Elliot was the best, with Chris a close second. (As the competition went on, I think Chris was better, but regardless both were better than either of the two finalists).
The voting is an issue. I’ve said many times you should vote people off, Survivor-style, instead of voting to keep someone.
