A few weeks back, Duncan Mackenzie stopped by my office (oddly enough, I work downstairs from him) to drop off a copy of the book "XBox 360 for Dummies" that he co-authored with Brian Johnson. While I’ve known Brian for a while through blogging and mutual work acquaintances, this was the first time I actually met Duncan (which is weird since I read his blog regularly).

What was really interesting though is what happened over the next week. Regardless of who visited my office, at some point they noticed the book, picked it up and said something to the effect of "why on earth do you need this book?". Then while leafing through it, the next comment was "oh, I didn’t know you could do that!"

And that’s the beauty of this book - It’s filled with tips and tricks that even the seasoned 360 owner will find useful. Recommended.

Ya know, I saw this at Borders and said “why on earth…?” Now I’m curious about what’s in that.

Altho I do have to say I was still wow’d by being able to stream some MP3’s from my XP box and use that as the soundtrack for Hearts. Which I bought via XBL… neat.
