Knowing your affinity for both XP Media Center and Mac, I’m hoping you may have thought of the idea of using the Mac Mini as an HTPC. If you have any experience with Front Row, do you think it would be feasible to have a Media Center PC server and use a Mini as a client for TV files (after they’re converted back to MPEG2 from DVR-MS)? I’ve never seen Front Row in action so I wouldn’t know how the interface would work for that.
Yes, I realize a MCE Extender is far cheaper, but none of them that I am familiar with have DVD playback. I’ve never owned a Mac, so I was hoping to use a Mini as my introduction. Just curious on your thoughts now that the Mini has moved to Intel and includes Front Row. Thanks!
