Now that Memorex and Lexar have announced ‘displays’ on their USB flash drives (the Memorex is using a SSC LCD and the Lexar is using an Electronic Paper Display), I’m still left wondering why no one has integrated one of those ‘wifi locators’ directly onto a USB key.

I personally wouldn’t carry a seperate wifi spotter around, but if it was integrated into the drive on my keychain it would be a no brainer.

Linksys has a USB Wifi Dongle out that has a built in LCD screen for doing site surveys. It doesn’t have any flash storage, but it is definitely a step in the right direction.
