Apple Store

Headed down to University Village this morning with the family, primarily because I wanted to check something out in the Barnes and Noble over there (they have one of the better ‘tech’ sections around). Anyways, after striking out at B&N, I was able to convince my wife to walk over with me to the Apple store to check out what was new.
Wow - Complete chaos. The line was almost out the door. It always amazes me to see so much buzz still over the iPod and how just being in an Apple store makes me feel good. I spent some extra time just snooping around and watching people experience Macs for the first time, which is always interesting.
Maybe the holiday elves will bring me Aperture?

According to reviews and user comments Aperture is not quite there yet… Maybe it’s better to wait for version 2 ?

For a 1.0, it’s a remarkable product. Sure, it has bugs and needs some additional features, but it really is a breakthrough product.

I’d love to know what is “not quite there yet.” Aperture has one of the best UI’s I’ve worked with, and the functionality I’ve used so far is certaintly there…
