Cool! A good look at the other thing I’ve been spending my time working on :)

Will there be some form of interaction with Outlook ?

The new contacts and calendar features looks nice but I’d hate it if it was not mirrored to Outlook.

Any chance of a 10′ interface for Media Center?

I hate to do this, but my stock answer has to be “it’s something we’re looking at, but I can’t comment on features just yet”.

I’m really trying to find out what exactly I can’t/can talk about since some pretty early bits are in 5231.

It’s unbelievable that it’s 2005 and Windows doesn’t provide any calendaring software yet. Not to mentioned that UI takes A LOT from iCal or Sunbird. But it doesn’t stop Steve to say that Google is copying it ;-) Sometimes you MS guys are so funny and detached from reality ;-)
Anyway I like this blog and I’m an avid reader - and looking forward to have a calendar app FINALY in Windows (and hopefully with ical files support).

I can say this: We use ICS for our calendar format (so, you can work with other calendar applications that support that, including iCal and Sunbird).

Bravo Steve. I think it is a great idea to do this calendar. If you are supporting wecal:// that just rocks. I have been using sunbird at work for looking at my home calendar (iCal on the mac for home use, butI’d switch to this if it is all it has the potential to be. (And i am sure you are influencing it)

    Cheers

Jeff: Yup, we support webcal:// as well as publishing to WebDAV.
