APIs vs Class Frameworks

[Ooey GUI] Steve and I had a discussion this morning about APIs… And we were left a little hanging: Do C++ developers prefer APIs and Handles or Class frameworks?

Lou and I had a great discussion yesterday regarding Windows developers: Do they prefer API’s and handles, Class Frameworks, or a hybrid which offers both such as GDI+. We’d really like people’s opinions on this one, so if you have an opinion, please shoot over to Lou’s blog and comment there.
