Well, since I upgraded my normal account to , so I could get 2GB of storage (which I use about 3% of) and an additional 30MB drive (which I don’t use, since I have access to another WebDAV share where I have 100GB or so). I have to admit, now that my account is up for renewal, I’m wondering if I should keep it or save myself the $19.
On one hand, I’ve really been enjoying the integration with and my smartphone, as well as easy access with both and . On the other, I could fire up that account I have that sits idle, but they only support web and POP3 access.
Decisions, decisions.

The kicker is $19 vs. free. Hmmmmm. I’ll keep the $19

If you do decide to cancel your Hotmail Plus account you’ll need to call 1-866-672-4551. They don’t give you any way to contact them or cancel on any of their websites. Instead they send you on a wild goose chase so that you go in circles with no way to contact customer support. I found this number posted in a blog about the struggles of canceling a Hotmail Plus account, called, and was able to close my account.
Peace,
TP

I cancelled my Hotmail Plus a month before renewal using the link … as given in their renewal warning E as the place to cancel …. checked the status after cancelling – showed no longer Hotmail Plus holder …
What happens .. a month later … and E from Microsoft happily showing they’ve renewed the account and charged my card !!!!!!
And HOW DO I FIND THEM TO COMPLAIN ….
NOWHERE can you find contact information ….
It’s no wonder Bill Gates is so damned rich with this sort of thievery….!!!!!!

I have paid for hotmail plus .When do I get the service?
Dr Raoul Comninos (February 6, 2006 @ )
There is no way to cancel Microsoft Hotmail Plus. Of all the arrogant evils I have seen on the Net, this is the greatest. None of the links actually leads anywhere: there is no way to cancel. If one phones, one gets no response. I have sent dozens of emails and none of them have got any response. This is sheer theft.

I cancelled my Hotmail Plus, you have to go to and I entered to a support chat and I spoke with a lady and in 10 minutes I had my account cancelled. She told me that I will receive my credit charge back. I hope this will work.

Hey guys, got hotmails plus two months ago, and paid the £14.99 (UK) for the year, it then told me that I needed to set up a direct debit for the same amount so that the following year they could direct debit me for the correct amount.
I did all this and everything works fine. However, just before the end of my first month with the plus account I recieved an email from hotmail saying that my direct debit will come out on the first on the next month.
This was supposed to be a one off year payment of £14.99. So I emailed back saying that there was some mistake and they wrote back asking for my details which I gave. then nothing. They took the direct debit and did nothing to rectify the problem.
I have now just pasted 2 months with the plus account and the same thing has happened with them saying the direct debit will come out on the first of the month. I went through the same regmarole yet again and still no MSN reply. This service is terrible as I’ve now paid what would be 3 years of the service in just over 2 months!!!!!!
Any advise on how to get my money back would be great, thanks.

I have called the Microsoft Support and talked to a lady that just cancelled my account. It’s easy when you can talk to a person. Here’s the number for those of you, like me, that can’t get any place on the computer. 1-866-672-4551 I was given a confirmation number and will be getting an e-mail, to my account, about the cancellation. I hope this will help others. Bev

I paid for an MSN Hotmailplus account so I could synch outlook 2003. It has been working great and then stopped working a week ago. Where can I find out the expiration date of the service I purchased? Like everyone else, I have spent way to much time trying to figure out the status of my account.
