How to Make a Vista Aux Display

[Make] Earlier this year Microsoft and ASUS showed a new technology that might be baked in to future laptops, an auxiliary display, a small LCD on the outside of a laptop that can display email, battery, CPU, Wi-Fi signal and all sorts of things. It’s much like the Flipstart (that hasn’t shipped). I like the idea, but don’t wait to wait until Windows Vista/Longhorn so here’s how to make your own that’s almost as good…
This is a pretty cool (yet bulky) hack. The really interesting bit is Innobec SideWindow - what a freaking cool peice of software. I have 3 old Pocket PC’s sitting around - I can easily imagine having one sitting below my monitor hosting email alerts, etc. I’m going to have to play with this a bit.
