[Line 56] Yahoo has acquired Konfabulator, a company that distributes what are known as widgets, for an unknown sum. Yahoo will henceforth be offering free access to Konfabulator’s widget library.

Interesting move by Yahoo - it makes sense so they can leverage their online services in a ‘browser-free’ fasion.

With this latest small ISV acquisition, however, I really have begun to wonder if there’s going to be any little ISV’s left. Seems like the latest trend is to start something with a few people, build a niche solution, and get bought by the bigger players.
