I’ve been using MSN as my homepage for the last several years, and it hit me this morning, that there’s probably some really good alternatives out there. Anyone have any suggestions?

Since no one else has said anything, I use a custom page that I created http://zepfanman.com/lw - which I actually link to the html file on my hard drive so that it pulls up really quickly without having to access the internet; it could use a lot of work, but it suits me fine for work and my frequent “Daily” links. Otherwise, I use the other internet behemoth’s option: my.yahoo.com (I use a couple of user names, though, so it’s not very helpful for me except for comics). I also use the Yahoo Popular News page on some of my browsers http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=index2&cid=964

I have used John Dvorak’s Portal - http://www.dvorak.org/home.htm -for at least 6 years now. I keep a copy on local hard drive for instant loading. It has everything you would ever need.

Have you tried the “MSN Incubation project” called “Start.com”? http://www.start.com/myw3b/

    Seems pretty neat.

Yahoo is my favorite. It has everthing, it blows MSN out of the water/web easily. And you can also use Yahoo as your homepage and then customize everything about it, from the stories, sports, news, videos of whatever to the type of wallpaper
