Ok, sorry for the bad pun.

Last night I was reminded of one of the biggest mistakes when grilling for company: trying a recipe that you’ve never made before. (To be fair, I made a second mistake - I modified it slightly).

There was nothing in particular wrong with the recipe - in fact it looked and sounded pretty good. The problem was that it was really difficult to tell when it was done so half of the meat ended up well-done, the other half rare.

Very embarrassing, especially to someone who takes pride in their grilling skills.
