It’s interesting to read some of the Episode III reviews. While Rory rips the movie apart, James Hull gives it one of the best reviews I’ve seen, saying "This movie reignited my inner geek."

I have to admit, now that I’ve had a few days to think about the movie, I’m probably closer to James with this. The movie left me in a wierd mood (kinda sad, actually), but I really feel that his final comments are really important: "I know that the first three Star Wars films, especially "Empire," are the reason why I am in this business.  I’m in it to make something cool – something to make people smile, to forget all the horrible stuff in their life for two hours, and to just entertain them."

Bingo.

While the software business may not be anything like the movie business (well, then again, that line is blurring), the reason I got into computers in the first place was Star Wars. After seeing Empire Strikes Back, I wanted to work on movie special effects, and computers seemed to be that future.

I just wanted to say "thank you" to James for reminding me of that.
