Fusion III, Comcast and HDTV
on 04.06.05, 08:49pm in home theater • comments (3)
For the last several months I’ve been using a Fusion 3 Gold QAM on my Windows Media Center box to decode my HDTV over cable feed in order to be able to view HDTV in the home theater. Anyways, I decided to go ahead and start a channel list (for my own sanity) for the Seattle/Redmond area (thanks to Ryan and Daniel for sending me this):
| Channel | Network | Station | Format |
| 81-1 | FOX | KCPQ | 720p |
| 81-2 | WB | KTWB | 1080i |
| 82-1 | ABC | KOMO | 720p |
| 82-2 | PBS | KCTS (Kids) | Unknown |
| 82-3 | PBS | KCTS (HD) | 1080i |
| 82-4 | PBS | KCTS (?) | 480i |
| 82-5 | PBS | KCTS (Learn) | Unknown |
| 83-1 | NBC | KING | 1080i |
| 83-2 | IND | KONG | 1080i |
| 84-1 | CBS | KIRO | 1080i |

So here’s the question — are you doing this within the MCE framework?

Nope.

Just got a Fusion Gold 5, pretty cool when the app is not crashing and it actually tunes a station. How did you get it to tune those lower stations. So far I have only been able to tune 84-1 and 94-1 through 94-10 and 100, 101, 102-1.
Would love to tune the local HD FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC if possible over cable.
