Last night we fired up "Closer" in an attempt to start catching up on some movies that we’ve missed. Here’s my 30 second review:

Although the movie was well acted, the sudden passage of time kinda threw me for a loop. And, for some bizarre reason, the more screwed up these people became, I found myself humming "If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands" over and over. While I did enjoy the ending, this movie definately wasn’t what I had expected, and really should have just been called "How Screwed Up Can I Make Your Life?"

Do I recommend it? I don’t know, I could take it or leave it and Liz thought it was basically ‘dumb’. My advice? Just watch some reality TV instead - it’s more entertaining.

I always find movied that are adapted from plays interesting. Especially when done well, as this one was….Depressing? Yes? Were the characters somewhat shallow? Yes? Where they “real”? Definitely! I know people like this. So basically is comes down to acting and directing for me which were both great in my opinion.
