[Tao of Mac via Seth Godin] I picked up Tim Bray’s Ten Reasons Why Blogging is Good For Your Career last Thursday, but I didn’t have much time to expand upon what I thought of it. A couple of days later, however, having gotten several e-mails (mostly internal, from friends asking me what I thought of his post), I thought I’d pick this up again.

Some interesting counter-thoughts to Tim Bray’s original article. While I generally agree with Rui’s assement (that blogging wont get you promoted), I can say that I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the number of folks who have said to me that they read Furrygoat (both inside Microsoft and out in the real world).

More than anything, I feel that the blog has been a great outlet for what’s on my mind and I’ve met some great people because of it.
