Microsoft Anti-SpyWare Update

[Jonathan Hardwick] Microsoft’s antispyware team made version 1.0.509 available for download a couple of hours ago. You can use Help > About to see what you’re currently running.

Indeed - I checked, I was running version 1.0.501 so I downloaded and installed the update that’s available here.

Question: Why did the File->Check For Updates menu option though tell me there was no updates when I was running on the 501 build?

    I don’t think they’ve turned on that functionality yet - if the original code was beta 1, then think of this as beta 1.1, i.e. a relatively minor update.
