[Clemens Vasters] Here’s a simple Indigo server. If you looked at the PDC 2003 Indigo bits, you will notice that the programming model changed quite a bit. I think that in fact, every single element of the programming model changed since then. And all for the better. The programming model is so intuitive by now that I am (almost) tempted to say “Alright, understood, next technology, please”.

Now that some of the beans have been spilled at VS-Live yesterday surrounding Indigo, you should start seeing more details and samples emerging around what we’ve been working on the last few years. As several blogs mentioned yesterday, a public CTP build should be out in conjunction with a new Avalon CTP and Whidbey Beta 2.

Check out the sample from Clemens - it’s been a lot of work getting down to a simple programming model. Also read through the speech from Eric Rudder yesterday talking about all of this, which can be found here.

What have I been working on? The last several months I’ve been focusing on testing how SOAP faults and .NET exceptions work together and propagate through the Indigo Service Model. I’ve been planning on writing up a few blog articles (and samples) to talk a bit on how this all works, hopefully I’ll have things ready when the CTP bits go out the door.

Update: You can watch Eric’s keynote here (via Chris Sells).
