Moleskine Pens

As crazy as this sounds, I’m still searching for the perfect pen to use with my new PDA, the Moleskine. I had originally picked up a few Pilot G2’s, but as Les points out in the comments, the gel ink doesn’t dry fast enough and I’ve been smearing ink. He recommended the Pilot Precise V5 – I’ll have to shoot over to Office Depot and pick one up.
Omar and several of the readers on 43 Folders have also recommended the Fisher Space Pen.
It’s amazing how something as simple as a notebook can totally bring out the obsessive compulsive in me.

As a Moleskine’ista as well as insane fountain pen person — I can attest to Moleskine’s fine ability to accept fountain pen ink without smear or run.
My favorite low-end fountain pens come from Levenger or Pelikan and I prefer the Pelikan inks or the J.Herbin inks from France.
If you are going to use a Moleskine, do you really want to use some Bic disposable thing?
Cheers!

I highly recommend trying some Noodler’s Black or Pelikan inks with a fine nib fountain pen. Check out http://www.fountainpenforum.com for an article on just this thing.
