Outlook Indexing Search Bug Fix

I noticed today that the MSN Desktop Search wasn’t properly indexing my email on my work machine – it consistently returned no results for things that I knew were there. After going to the Indexing->Options dialog, selecting "Specific Locations" and hitting "Browse", I noticed that Outlook wasn’t being recognized as my default email client, even though it’s properly configured on the system as the default.
After searching around it turns out that I had run MSN Explorer at some point which looks like it creates a registry key that can ‘confuse’ Desktop search.
The fix is simple, just delete the registry key HKCU\Software\Clients\Mail.
After that, all is well

Steven,
do you happen to know how one can make it index .cs files? also, i had problems with email indexing in outlook express. it would index some folders, but some it wouldn’t. any idea what would cause this ? (i just deinstalled because the way it was, index service is much more useful.)
