iPaq as a Carputer?

A few weeks back, I asked if anyone had any good suggestions on what to do with an old PDA. Several people commented that I should look into using it as a car computer.
Right now, I have a Sirius satellite radio as well as an iPod hard-wired right into the sound system, so the only thing I can think of really using the iPaq for in the car is GPS navigation. However, I wonder if I would just be better off using my Audiovox 5600 and a Bluetooth GPS reciever instead. This also has the advantage of using the GPS with the laptop (I recently replaced the internal modem with a Bluetooth modem on the T40) for longer trips.
The other thought I had for using the iPaq in the car would be as a ‘controller’ for a more powerful mini-itx system, perhaps mounted in the trunk, using NetRemote as a front end.

you could also use it to log on to this website. And see for yourself how bad it looks on Pie

Good to know. I’ve tried it on the Smartphone PIE, and it actually seems pretty good (with 1 column view turned on). Are you referring to how it looks on PPC?
