Looks like version 1.00.67 of the NVidia DVD Decoder is available for download from here. Even though it’s a trial version, the page says: "After 30 days, you can unlock and buy the software by launching the shortcut ‘Unlock/Buy NVIDIA DVD Decoder’ on the desktop."

Going to fire this up on MCE today to see what’s new.

Update: I downloaded the new version, uninstalled the old decoder and reinstalled with 1.00.67 using my registration information. Everything seems to be working fine!

I need some help, but have been searching forums with no luck. I got the update for the decoders, but the controls in MCE aren’t showing up. I go to more programs and click on the Nvidia Settings but it is just blank and says it is missing the file. Reinstalled multiple times with no luck. Also, in DVD playback there is a faint black bar on top that varies in shade of black from the letterbox bars. Let me know if you have any info on it thanks.

The controls are in the “More Programs” section. I still had to use the ‘non-mediacenter’ control panel to setup SPDIF output.

I can’t get this new decoder to work worth a crap. The old beta decoder worked GREAT on my system. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled dozens of times and tried everything I can think of.

The ONLY thing I can get to work is when I copy the ~4 new decoder files in common with the beta decoders. In other words, install the beta, then overwrite just those 4 codecs with the new versions.

That SORTA works. Still some weirdness.

The beta version was so flawless for me, I never would have expected this total fiasco. Who knows..

Wierd. I haven’t seen these issues - it’s been working great for me on my MCE box.
