[Dive Into Mark] It’s time for me to find a new hobby. Preferably one that doesn’t involve angle brackets. Or computers. Or electricity.

Interesting observation: Almost everyone that I know in the computer industry has a ‘backup’ career in mind. Whether it’s a dream job they’ve longed for or just total a frustration with technology, there always seems to be something else they want to do ‘when they grow up’.

Heck, when asked "Where do you want to be in 5 years" during my annual review this year, I joking responded: "Selling ice cream".

(On a related note, having grown up on the east coast, I’ve noticed that the Seattle area doesn’t really have a good Italian bakery. Boy, I really miss a good cannoli - perhaps I should become a baker.)

I’m of two minds about something like this… either dealing craps or running a NY-style Italian restaurant. Of course, if I bring in Family members… I might be able to do both in the same place.

We’d need a good distributor of cannoli or zeppole either way.

What is it with the northeast and bakeries? We’ve been here in NC for three years now and have yet to find a place that sells decent bread. Folks who come to visit from CT will bring us dozens of rolls as a gift. Pretty sad when it comes to that.

I will pay you your weight in gold if you can make a proper Philly cheesesteak roll. *That* is what is missing on this left coast.

No, a good chicago-style deep-dish pizza is also missing, and far more important. :-)
