Blogging About Tommorow

[KC Lemson] I’m so tired of hearing that “microsoft bloggers talk about the future too much.” There’s a whole bunch of people blogging about current technologies right now - so let’s stop disrespecting them by pretending that they are a meaningless minority, and instead figure out ways to promote them.
KC brings up some really good points about some of the complaints that I’ve heard about Microsoft bloggers.
Personally, I’ve tried not to talk specifics on future tech (ie - how the Indigo error handling model works), but rather keep the blog focused on current things going on in my life, or speak very generally when talking about tomorow’s software (ie - Longhorn will be cool).
While I’ve had several friends say to me that a lot of the bloggers from MS talk about ‘tomorows technologies’ and find that frustrating (frankly, because they a) dont have access to the stuff or b) have too much going on with current tech to worry about it), as KC mentions, there’s a lot of good blogs out there talking about today.
