[MSNBC] Mount St. Helens released a thick plume of white steam Friday, more than a week after a flurry of earthquakes indicated that an eruption was on the way.

Looks like St. Helens finally let off a small burp around noon. While nothing like the 1980 and 86 eruptions, it’s still facinating to watch this unfold. Check out the VolcanoCam for recent pictures.
