Speaking of ordering books, I need to also order Joel-On-Software’s new book (which wow, is ranked 9 at Amazon): Joel on Software: And on Diverse and Occasionally Related Matters That Will Prove of Interest to Software Developers, Designers, and Managers, and to Those Who, Whether by Good Fortune or Ill Luck, Work with Them in Some Capacity

I read Joel’s first book, User Interface Design for Programmers, and was a bit disappointed. It was a short read (only about 100 pages), and seemed to contain a lot of filler designed to bring the number of pages over the century mark. Plus, he didn’t seem to break the surface on most topics and as a result the book may be a good introductory read but not something for someone who has thought about interface design before. Maybe I wasn‚Äôt the intended audience and didn‚Äôt even realize it!
All of this to say that I will probably spend an hour or so with this book at my local bookstore before buying it online.

The new book is basically a ‘best of’ the website. If you dont want to buy it, just read the website
