[Pocket PC Thoughts] Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and some local IT firms will soon mass produce a new type of memory card called “Œºcard”, which will be unveiled during the Taipei International Electronics Show from October 8-12, according to sources. The new cards are expected to be local IT firms’ chance to reduce technology reliance upon oversea makers, sources commented.

While I’m not as tired of memory card formats as I am of WS-* specs, I’m refuse to move off of SD (PDA, Smartphone) and Memory Stick (camera, camcorder) any time soon. I invested tons in Compact Flash (wireless cards, memory, you name it) and all of them sit in a box collecting dust.

Wanna send some of those compact flash cards my way? :-) Most digital SLRs and high-end digicams use nothing but compact flash so the only kind of memory cards I have are compact flash.

Perhaps you want to sell your flash memory and wireless stuff at a great price!!??
