It’s amazing how the price of a fully equipped Dell just keeps dropping and dropping. It looks like you can get a 2.66Ghz P4 with 128MB (low, I know) and a free 80 gig drive upgrade for only $399. At these prices I’ll probably just order a Dell the next time I do a system upgrade.

My current rule is to only upgrade when I can get at least a full ghz more - I’m at 2.53ghz right now, so I think I’ll wait a bit.

Check with Got Apex? for some other amazing Dell deals.

I have to admit it though - the 3.2GHz with HT is a whole lot faster than the 2.53 I use at home… it boots to XP’s login screen in under 20 seconds (I think - I’ll have to time it later this afternoon).

Yeah, hyperthreading would be a movtivator to upgrade. Right now though, the box does everything I need it too though.

Check the refurb stock too, that’s where I get my laptops. Even better deals, and the systems still come with the full Dell warranty.
