I’ve been thinking about setting up a blog at blogs.msdn.com for ‘work’ items that I post on furrygoat. All content will still be published here, they’d just be crossposted there.

Do people think that’s a good idea, bad idea, or just don’t care?

If you do, please continue crossposting. It’s easier to follow one blog rather than two.

That’s the basic idea - EVERYTHING gets posted here. I’d only crosspost interesting ‘work-related’ entries over there.

I am really happy having done this. I get a lot of interesting comments over there and the main msdn feed has a lot of visibility if you have something important to say.

One thing I really want to do for dasBlog if I find the time is make it so that some categories automatically cross post.

One warning though. Before cross-posting save the body of your post to the clipboard. There is some kind of timeout which causes an exception sometimes and the post fails… really bad. If you try again later it works though.

I think that would be a good idea, as it would get you into the MSDN employee feed. A lot of people read that without subscribing to most of the blogs there.

    Cheers,
