[Chandu Thota] How does it feel and look when blogs meet maps? Curious? Check my new experiment with MapPoint Web Service : “BlogMap”. Basically “BlogMap” is a collection of blogs rendered on a map (using MWS, of course) based on origin of their location.
Blogmap can be found here. Very neat. One of the questions (or ideas) was to add a ‘location’ element to the RSS schema. Here’s my two thoughts on this:
1) Why not just automatically figure it out using a IP2Geo web service?
2) Doesn’t RSS 2.0 have any support for ICBM via GeoUrl?
Speaking of that, I guess I should add Furrygoat to the GeoUrl directory.
Update: Added. Check out who’s near me.
Update 2: A small typo (leaving off the -) makes GeoUrl think im in Zalantun, China. Oops. Wonder how long it’ll take to fix.
