Ok, I’ll admit it: I listen to Howard Stern. I have since I was a kid living in Connecticut on KROC, and I can even remember him when he first came on WNBC in the afternoon.

After moving to Seattle 7 years ago, I couldn’t believe he wasnt syndicated out here, but adapted to the local radio for my morning commute. I can honestly say I was excited last year when KISW started carrying his show, and I’ve become a die-hard listener again in the morning commute.

So imagine my pre-coffee dismay this morning when Howard was gone and replaced by the ‘filth-free’ Cross and Lopez show. After half an hour, I called KISW, and left a message to the degree of “where the heck is howard? is this a joke!?!” ..

And it hit me. It was: It’s April 1st.

That being so (well, I hope its a joke), this FCC indecency thing is really concerning to me. I don’t understand how a government agency can dictate what’s indecent or not. Who decides? On who’s standards? Certainly my thoughts on what’s indecent will be different than someone elses (in fact, that would be scary since I’ve been told I have a totally warped sense of humor).

Anyways, I’m certainly not going to turn furrygoat.com into a political forum. In fact, the only reason I’m posting this is because Jay thought I was crazy for calling the radio station this morning and said I should email everyone on how silly I was.
