I’m simply blown away that during my last one on one with my boss that he encouraged me to keep on blogging. In fact, he asked if I’d post even more (I am assuming that he means technical content, rather than baby spit-up entries). During my last year at Microsoft, I’ve definitely noticed an increasing trend to encourage people to reach out to the community.

Speaking of that, I noticed that Richard Turner has started a blog focusing on Service Orientation and has two really good entries on Indigo and SOA so far.

Recently I’ve had several people ask about what part of Indigo that I specifically work on. I’m a Software Design Engineer in Test on the “Service Model” team (also check out fellow team members Steve Swartz’s and George Kremenliev’s blogs). I primarily work on writing code to test two areas: the Indigo application programming model API’s and the migration from legacy technologies such as .NET Remoting and Web Services to Indigo. I’m sure I’ll talk about these eventually (but not yet).

Finally, make sure you check out Steve’s appearance on the .NET Show. It’s great.
