[MSDN] For Microsoft Windows Code Name “Longhorn,” we are planning a new book, code-named “The Windows User Experience Cookbook.” The Cookbook shows examples of good user experience design through a set of best-practice scenarios (or “recipes”). These recipes use the elements (or “ingredients”) of user experience design detailed in the guidelines. We hope these recipes serve as models and inspiration for your own Windows-based applications. The Cookbook will be a companion to the updated and significantly revised version of the Windows User Experience guidelines.

I missed this with all of the PDC hoopla last month, but it’s good reading for usability wonks.
