Today’s lesson: Never, ever, ever upgrade your router’s firmware without waiting for other people to do it first.
The reason for yesterday’s site outage was D-Link’s new 1.24 firmware for the DI-624 router. I had applied the new version on Friday, and noticed all weekend that it likes to “forget” it’s virtual host table every 6-8 hours. Of course this happened right as I left for work yesterday, so I couldnt fix it until I got home. Then in the process of downgrading to the old firmware, my IP changed again, so….
Anyways, I hope this is all fixed now.
