Got a minute to plug in the iTrip tonight. Since I am using the Mac version of the iPod on XP w/ XPlay, I had to manually copy over the “stations” to the iPod before using it. It’s pretty cool - there’s an MP3 for each station between 87.9 and 107.9. You select a station and “play” it to tune the iTrip to a frequency.

So after selecting 88.7, I hit play on Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. Came right through to the home stereo.

Initial impression: Awsome. Sound quality is great. Well worth the $39 to dump that peice of garbage cassette-plug-thinggie I was using in the car. iPoding has posted pretty thorough reviews here and here.

Only gripe: doesnt seem to sit flush with the iPod. Otherwise, thumbs up!
