[Yahoo News] Starbucks Corp., the world’s largest coffee shop chain, on Wednesday said it has agreed to acquire rival Seattle Coffee Co.’s North American operations… Seattle Coffee owns both the Seattle’s Best Coffee and Torrefazione Italia Coffee brands. Starbucks said it intends to further develop both coffee lines, which are sold through both retail and wholesale means.

Whoa - This is big news locally. Don’t get me wrong, I go to Starbucks almost daily, but in my opinion, Torrefazione has the best beans hands down.
