Back to the Ipaq

Over the last few months, I switched my PDA from an old handy Ipaq 3650 to a shiny new Siemens XS56 Pocket PC Phone edition device. The primary motivation in moving to PPCPE was that since part of the book was on the new API’s in the phone devices, I needed to be on the device to test samples, etc.
Now that the book’s final manuscript has been sent in, I find that I am longing for some of the old Ipaq features - namely the use of Compact Flash for both memory cards (which I have tons of) and 802.11b. While I could get a 256mb SD card for only $55 ($85-$30 rebate) these days, the lack of Wifi and the general slow data transfer of GRPS have made me put the XDA back in the box and move full time back to the Ipaq. Even so, I can still use the .NET Compact Framework on the older device.
I think ill be waiting for the next onslaught of new Pocket PCs (with integrated Wifi hopefully) sometime later this year.
